Zamel & Turbag
Consulting Engineers (ZATE) is a multi-discipline, Saudi
Arabian Company, owned and operated by three Saudi
Engineers. After a successful working association on various
projects since 1978 as separate firms, Zamel Engineering and
Turbag Engineering, merged in 1981 to form ZATE.
During 1982 - 1987, ZATE formed a joint venture agreement
with the internationally well known engineering and
construction company Brown & Root, Inc. and registered under
A/E License #1 as Zamel & Turbag/Brown & Root (ZATBAR) to
perform engineering and construction management services in
the Kingdom.
Since 1981, ZATE has successfully completed over 3.31 MILLION
man-hours of engineering, design and procurement and over
1.55 million man-hours of construction supervision for
prestigious clients.
ZATE's ability to provide technical services with In-Kingdom
staff is highly visible. Clients realize the many advantages
in solving problems quickly with a staff, which is
immediately available. These advantages include personal
communication with experts, minimal travel costs, immediate
responses, and less requirement for clients to specifically
define problems. Familiarity with local conditions, along
with access to Saudi and international material sources is
very effective in planning practical solutions to problems.
ZATE has been the first 100% Saudi Company to execute a
complete engineering, procurement and construction
management (EPCM) contract for a cross-country pipeline
project (24" Propane Feedstock Pipeline for PETROKEMYA) - a
Saudi Aramco Third Party project (BI-2009).
The company has established a Quality Management System as
an integral part of our business based on ISO 9001:2000, and
has achieved certification to this Standard.
ZATE retains a fully competent staff of experienced
engineers and designers complete with support personnel in
all major disciplines. Projects undertaken by ZATE are
custom designed and engineered to meet the client's exact
specifications and requirements
