When Zamel Engineering and Turbag Engineering merged as Zamel & Turbag Consulting Engineers (ZATE) in 1980, Saudi Oil, gas, petrochemical and utility industries relied heavily, if not solely, on foreign companies for engineering, procurement, and construction management services. ZATE owners, then had a vision to become a strong in-kingdom engineering company to serve these industries. To achieve this goal, we trained and retained our staff, regardless of business trends and cycles.
